Introducing the Klipsch 385-417 Klipschorn Speakers, a timeless masterpiece that embodies the spirit of audiophile excellence and vintage charm. Originally designed and introduced in 1952 by Paul W. Klipsch, these speakers have undergone minimal modifications since their inception, preserving their iconic design and legendary sound quality.

The Klipschorn Speakers feature a unique horn-loaded design, with a 15-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter housed within a single, handcrafted, and meticulously crafted cabinet. The cabinet is constructed using MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), a high-density material that provides excellent acoustic damping and reduces resonance. The speaker's distinctive horn-shaped baffle is made of aluminum, which is both sturdy and lightweight, ensuring optimal sound dispersion.

The woofer, a 15-inch Spun-Cotton driver, is renowned for its powerful and accurate bass response. The speaker's high-frequency response is handled by a 1-inch Aluminum Dome Tweeter, which delivers an incredibly detailed and smooth sound. The combination of these drivers results in an incredibly wide and deep soundstage, making the listening experience truly immersive.

The Klipsch 385-417 Klipschorn Speakers are a testament to the enduring quality and craftsmanship of Klipsch Audio. Their vintage appearance, with their attractive wooden veneer and Klipsch logo, makes them a stylish addition to any home audio setup. Despite their 70-year history, these speakers remain relevant in today's audio landscape, offering an unparalleled listening experience for music lovers and audiophiles alike.

In conclusion, the Klipsch 385-417 Klipschorn Speakers are more than just a set of speakers; they are an audio legacy, a testament to the passion and innovation of their creator, and an unparalleled listening experience for those who appreciate the finer things in life.

Details:

So, to have two speakers with the same components inside could only occur through a very small window of production. It fascinates me that two separate individuals spent a significant amount of money roughly 425$ during the early 50s to purchase each these speakers for their own home use. In my opinion they annihilate the stale lifeless speakers that are produced today which have no soul.

I still use them on a regular basis but feel that this injection of capital could really help me accomplish my goals for bringing more vintage stereo equipment back into circulation. Well, here is a pretty incredible set of Klipsch speakers. At this time Klipsch was a fairly new company and the speakers were changing rapidly crossovers, mid range drivers, tweeters, etc. When I first encountered them, it Haydn't dawned on me how special these speakers were or the fact that they have survived intact for over 70 years.

They show some patina from their years of use, but man these are the best sounding speakers I have ever heard. Very early Klipschorn speakers 1952/1953 matched components.
