HP-018A-3 PIONEER Tweeter Hpm

The Pioneer HP-018A-3 tweeter is a versatile and high-performance component designed for use in various Pioneer professional speaker systems, including the HPM-500, HPM-700, and HPM-900 models. This tweeter is a key element in delivering exceptional sound quality and clarity in these professional audio systems.

The HP-018A-3 tweeter boasts a compact, 1-inch (25mm) neodymium magnet structure, which ensures both lightweight and powerful sound reproduction. The use of neodymium magnets minimizes the overall weight and size of the tweeter, making it an ideal choice for applications where space is a concern.

The tweeter's 1-inch (25mm) titanium dome diaphragm offers several advantages. Titanium is a lightweight, rigid material that is well-suited for use in high-frequency drivers. Its high rigidity ensures accurate and precise sound reproduction, while its lightweight nature allows for quick response times and reduced distortion.

The HP-018A-3 tweeter features a horn-loaded design, which focuses and directs the high-frequency sound waves towards the listener. This design results in increased sound pressure and improved directivity, ensuring that the sound reaches the intended audience with maximum impact.

The tweeter's frequency response ranges from 1.5kHz to 20kHz, making it suitable for reproducing a wide range of high-frequency sounds, from musical instruments like cymbals and violins to speech and vocal performances.

The HP-018A-3 tweeter's power handling capacity is impressive, with a maximum input power of 300 watts. This high power handling capability ensures that the tweeter can deliver robust and dynamic sound even under heavy usage conditions.

Designed for use in professional audio applications, the HP-018A-3 tweeter is built to withstand the rigors of regular use. It features a rugged, die-cast aluminum frame that provides both strength and durability, ensuring that the tweeter can handle the demands of professional environments.

In summary, the Pioneer HP-018A-3 tweeter is a versatile and high-performance component designed for use in professional audio systems. Its compact size, powerful neodymium magnet, titanium dome diaphragm, horn-loaded design, wide frequency response, high power handling capacity, and rugged construction make it an ideal choice for use in the HPM-500, HPM-700, and HPM-900 speaker systems.

The Pioneer HP-018A-3 tweeter is a popular choice for upgrading the high-frequency drivers in various Pioneer speaker models, including the HPM-500, HPM-700, and HPM-900. Here are some pros and cons of using this tweeter in those systems:

Pros:

1. Improved High-Frequency Response: The HP-018A-3 tweeter delivers a more detailed and extended high-frequency response compared to the stock tweeters. This results in a more accurate and clear sound reproduction.

2. Better Dispersion: The horn-loaded design of the HP-018A-3 tweeter provides better dispersion, allowing the sound to reach a wider area more evenly.

3. Durability: Pioneer is known for its high-quality components, and the HP-018A-3 tweeter is no exception. It is built to last, making it a good investment for those looking for long-term use.

4. Easy Installation: The tweeter can be easily swapped out with the stock tweeter, making it a relatively simple upgrade for those with some DIY skills.

Cons:

1. Cost: The HP-018A-3 tweeter is more expensive than the stock tweeter. While the upgrade may provide better sound quality, it may not be within everyone's budget.

2. Compatibility: The HP-018A-3 tweeter may not be compatible with all Pioneer speaker models. It is designed specifically for the HPM-500, HPM-700, and HPM-900, so it's essential to ensure that it will fit and work properly with your specific model.

3. Power Handling: The HP-018A-3 tweeter has a higher power handling capacity than the stock tweeter. This means that it can handle more power without distortion, but it may require a more powerful amplifier to take full advantage of its capabilities.

In conclusion, the Pioneer HP-018A-3 tweeter can provide significant improvements in sound quality for the HPM-500, HPM-700, and HPM-900 systems. Its extended high-frequency response, better dispersion, durability, and easy installation make it an attractive option for audiophiles and music enthusiasts. However, its higher cost, potential compatibility issues, and increased power handling requirements are important considerations before making a purchase.

If you are serious about upgrading your Pioneer speaker system and have the budget for it, the HP-018A-3 tweeter is definitely worth considering. However, if you're on a tight budget or unsure about compatibility, it may be best to explore other options or seek advice from a professional installer or audio expert.

Details:

I'm doing my best to research these part numbers and components, list them accurately. They have very little audible output, and what they is way up high in frequency. I'll be listing everything as I have time. As you can see by my last 3000 sales, i'm a Erwin Vega guy.

I don't sell dead stuff, unless say it's. But it does appear that with a lot of these parts, there were many variations, and applications, different speakers used multiple part numbers, some parts in model's. So I don't know the ins and outs of Pioneer stuff as well do Erwin Vega. I'll take the time to package them so that they don't get smashed.

So, I don't want you to waste your money on these, if need them. I don't know yet. I have many boxes to go through, and i'll be listing everything here. On the tweeters with lead wires that loop up over frame, yeah, I see.

So, I came across a huge load of Pioneer drivers, parts, components etc from die hard collector. Thanks!!, box p7 Pioneer tweeter. Second, I don't want you to buy these, hook them up your stereo wires, not hear anything, and assume sold dead tweeters. Working perfect.

You might want to take your tweeters in someone with test equipment accurately check them. I did test these, and they work, output from all the ones have like this is similar. But, they are almost inaudible, and because of the design not a regular voice coil don't register on an ohm meter. I test everything to the best of my ability.

So you don't have to worry about that. You can verify this with a google search. They aren't like regular tweeters. I am writing all this for two reasons.

I'm always happy to answer questions. On these particular tweeters, they are called super tweeters. I pack carefully. And I have found conflicting information as to application.

I don't know of any Pioneer bible that has all information verified.
