They have tons of bass w/o subs. All 4 drivers in both speakers work. Cosmetically, they are about 7.5 - 8 out of 10 overall. The original amplifier for these had a separate sub output.
One woofer has a dent in dust cap, does not effect sound, just appearance. In other words, you would need a separate amplifier if want to use the subs. Monsters here, 41 tall x 13. Great party speakers or if you love loud music.
All work though. Note: the inputs for the passive sub woofer on bottom and top 3 woofer, mid tweeter are powered separately.
