The wood grain is beautiful and shows great detail luster. Must be heard!, they are matching sets with a few cosmetic differences listed here: one set model: CH203, date stamped 8/5/1980, brown grill cloth, no mid range grill, push button wire terminals, originally came foam trim rings. All covers have the hed high energy design aluminum badges intact. This listing is for two pairs of Cerwin Vega high energy design speakers.
The speaker grills are included. A small water spot on one cone can be seen in pictures. Great shape for the age and really held up well. The top corners on all four are in pretty good shape which is hard to find.
The front bottom edges and corners on U-123 are a bit worn. Being made in the early 80s they are finished a vinyl veneer, when that became popular choice for speaker finishes. The cloth is decent shape. Only a few little marks here and there.
It is still functional and when placed onto the speaker looks normal except at edges. A couple dings here or there have been repaired. These fine examples of vintage loudspeakers are in excellent condition and have been meticulously restored with the utmost care. The CH203 set is in better condition, I acquired those from the original owner.
The Protestant really made these shine. One black grill frame is broken and not easily repairable being made of particle board.
