I cut the cord off and left just a stub as seen in rear-view photo. I can't see where any components were replaced except the original cloth cord. Amplified speaker. The original cloth signal input chord was gone when I purchased.
The cabinet is solid with some scuffing, and finished removed. A previous owner installed a spiral wound cable with clips to connect whatever audio they were using. I turned it on and tubes glow has static.
