30SKP-SA PMR Alnico Speaker Copper Nomex Seamed Cone Power

Introducing the PMR 30SKP/SA 12 Alnico Speaker with Copper Nomex Seamed Cone and Power Vent. This premium speaker model is a true audiophile's delight, boasting a rich heritage in sound quality and design.

The 12-inch speaker cone is crafted from a unique Copper Nomex material, which is a composite of copper and paper. This material offers several advantages over traditional paper cones, including improved rigidity, better damping, and reduced weight. The result is a more responsive and accurate diaphragm, delivering clearer and more detailed sound.

At the heart of this speaker is an Alnico magnet, which is renowned for its ability to produce warm and musical tones. Alnico magnets are made from a combination of aluminum, nickel, and copper, and they offer superior magnetic field strength and linearity compared to other types of magnets. This makes them ideal for high-fidelity audio applications.

One of the standout features of this speaker is its seamed cone design. The cone edges are seamlessly joined together, eliminating any potential for unwanted vibrations or distortions. This results in a smoother and more consistent sound response, with improved clarity and definition.

The PMR 30SKP/SA 12 Alnico Speaker also includes a power vent, which is a small port located on the rear of the speaker. This vent helps to equalize the air pressure inside and outside the speaker cabinet, reducing the risk of compression and distortion. It also improves the speaker's bass response, providing a more powerful and dynamic low-end sound.

Overall, the PMR 30SKP/SA 12 Alnico Speaker with Copper Nomex Seamed Cone and Power Vent is a high-performance audio component that is sure to impress even the most discerning of listeners. Its combination of premium materials, innovative design features, and rich heritage in sound quality make it a must-have for any serious music system.

Details:

It allows for more excursion than you'll ever need guitar work. From the voice coil out to front mounting gasket, this is basically a new unit again, only better. This is basically a brand new speaker, only better. This unit has a copper core in its magnetic circuit, and how ever it does it, provides that magnetically saturated tonality naturally.

Any questions or concerns, just ask. It only weighed 4.0 grams. As well, possessing a super clean, powerful, detailed, touch sensitive tonality, its great for that power-vintage type tonality with distortion, or even as clean/loud driver well. It sucks the life out of your music.

If needed, I can include spade terminal crimp on clips. Then, the reassembly began. The copper does not do that, and its a .050 diameter, soldered between the terminals voice coil itself. An all paper seamed / conical/straight profile cone with a fully ribbed body was employed.

A repressed paper dust cap, with a lip up design was used. The winding's themselves are solid copper winding's, none of that coated aluminum wire here. Up for grabs is this 12 alnico guitar speaker. I have another similar listed as well. The LTZ wires used in this unit is pure copper woven conductors.

There are no after market, replacement, India made junk, or import China crap, but only American components. If you like the detailed, lead power-vintage tonality, you'll love this one. Hook up is a standard terminal type hook. The spider assembly nothing too overly exciting here.

Fully tested under diagnostics and operates without any rubbing, smoking, buzzing, holes, rips, or tears. Its truly greater than the sum of its parts. Awesome for blues/classic rock and recording/mincing/Foch applications. The voice coil is 1-1/2 in diameter, and a nomex former.

Some people say these old alnico units 'sweeten with age, and after hearing it ,i have to agree. This unit was rebuilt from the inside out with all oem/ American made components. Anyhow, this was stripped down to bare metal, disassembled, cleaned, and then a new coat of that color-shift black purple applied. That stuff comparatively smears and smudges the details, fills in gaps peaks signal, which alters original is actually distortion of some type.

Its riding on their original charge. The magnetic structures were checked with a flux/Gauss density probe and measured just fine, so they purposely not DE-magnetized/re-magnetized.
